Biografi
Born and raised in Bogor, West Java, drh. Kombo developed a love for wildlife and exotic animals during his school years, actively participating in wildlife-related activities long before graduating. Today, drh. Kombo has a special interest in avian, reptile, and exotic animal medicine, backed by more than 14 years of experience managing conservation institutions across Indonesia. He has worked as a veterinarian and eventually general manager at Sinka Zoo in Singkawang, Animal Sanctuary Trust Indonesia in Gadog, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in Jakarta, and Jagat Satwa Nusantara in Jakarta. Beyond clinical work, drh. Kombo serves as Head of Education and Training at the Indonesian Zoo Association (PKBSI), teaches Wildlife Health at POLBANGTAN Bogor, acts as a consultant for avian and reptile breeding facilities and wildlife export-import companies, and serves as the national studbook keeper for the Wreathed Hornbill, appointed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. He also contributed to the successful breeding of the King Bird of Paradise (Cicinnurus regius) during his career. This extraordinary depth of experience across exotic and wild species makes drh. Kombo a trusted specialist for pet parents of birds, reptiles, and other non-conventional animals. drh. Kombo completed his undergraduate and professional veterinary degrees at IPB University, graduating in 2010. He chose a career in conservation institutions and exotic animals immediately after graduating, and has since built one of the most extensive exotic animal medicine careers in Indonesia. He now combines his conservation work with his role at Modernvet Animal Hospitals, where he focuses on avian, reptile, and exotic animal medicine.
