drh. Lael Victoria Lesmana

Born in Salatiga, Central Java, I grew up with a deep love for animals and cared for various pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and rabbits. My father, a medical doctor, became a strong inspiration for me, he often traveled to remote areas across Indonesia to provide healthcare for underserved communities who lacked access to proper medical services. As I grew older, I discovered the veterinary profession and chose this path with conviction. During my university years, I developed a strong interest in microbiology, particularly due to the urgency and global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This interest led me to assist professors in the field and serve as an assistant lecturer within the department. Toward the final stage of my university years, I focused on learning veterinary anesthesia, driven by the belief that animals deserve the best possible pain management, both during and after surgical procedures. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting and traveling. I also have a strong interest in learning new languages and hope to continue developing this passion further.
