drh. Ayu's frustration with inadequate veterinary care as a child in Banjarmasin inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Today, drh. Ayu has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, and internal medicine. She continues to deepen her surgical skills through seminars and workshops with the Indonesian Veterinary Surgeons Association (ADBVI), covering skin flap and skin graft surgery, basic orthopedic surgery, and hernia surgery, along with several international certifications from VETgirl USA, including its Anesthesia and Analgesia Certification. This thorough grounding in surgery and anesthesia allows drh. Ayu to manage procedures safely and confidently, giving pet parents assurance that their companion is in capable hands before, during, and after surgery. drh. Ayu completed her undergraduate and professional veterinary degrees at Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, graduating Cum Laude and as the top student in 2012, after serving as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Parasitology for two years. She went on to practice at several animal hospitals and clinics in Jakarta, Bali, and Cibubur, before joining Modernvet Animal Hospital in May 2024. Born and raised in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, drh. Ayu has always had pets, especially cats. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her cats and SCUBA diving as a solo traveler, exploring the seas of Indonesia.
