Biography

Losing Kelly, a Beagle who was her first pet dog, to poisoning by an irresponsible individual became a turning point that strengthened drh. Jeannet's resolve to pursue veterinary medicine. Today, drh. Jeannet has a special interest in internal medicine, rehabilitation, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), combining Western and Eastern medical approaches for holistic care. She completed the full Small Animal Acupuncture program at Chi University and has been a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist since 2023, alongside further training such as the Clinical Neurology II Workshop with the Veterinary Advance Learning Center (VALC) in Malaysia and a laser therapy seminar in Jakarta. This integrative approach allows drh. Jeannet to build personalized rehabilitation plans for pets with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, giving pet parents a fuller, safer range of recovery options for their companions. drh. Jeannet completed her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in 2023 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the same university in 2024, earning the Most Outstanding Student title at UGM's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for 2022/2023 among more than 500 students. Throughout her studies, she completed several externship programs at various animal clinics and wildlife parks across Indonesia. Since 2025, she has been with Modernvet Kuningan as a junior veterinarian for inpatient and rehabilitation care. Beyond clinical practice, drh. Jeannet is active in research and scientific publishing, including an article in the Brazilian Journal of Biology on the genetic diversity of mackerel fish and one in Jurnal Sain Veteriner on pure honey therapy for a cat bite wound. She also spoke on behalf of Indonesia at the International Asia Veterinary Conference and Exhibition (IAVC) in Hong Kong, presenting a case report on canine hypersomatotropism, and was a top 10 finalist in the Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Fiber Case Report Competition 2026. Born and raised in Jakarta in a family of animal lovers, drh. Jeannet sees being a veterinarian not just as a profession but as a calling. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, watching movies, and traveling.
