drh. Lael Victoria Lesmana

Her father, a medical doctor who often traveled to remote areas across Indonesia to serve communities with limited access to healthcare, was a major inspiration for drh. Lael from a young age, leading her to wonder who would care for animals, both pets and strays, when they fell ill. Today, drh. Lael has a special interest in veterinary anesthesiology and perioperative care, believing that animals deserve the best possible pain management during and after surgery. She gained hands on experience in drug preparation, anesthesia induction, isoflurane maintenance, multiparameter patient monitoring, and operating syringe pumps and ventilators as an Anesthesia Assistant at the Department of Surgery and Radiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM, and directly assisted three anesthesiology workshops for the Indonesian Veterinary Surgeons Association (ADBVI) in Yogyakarta and Surabaya. This careful grounding in perioperative anesthesia helps drh. Lael keep patients safe before, during, and after surgery, giving pet owners reassurance at one of the most critical moments in their companion's care. drh. Lael completed her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in 2024, and continued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the same university, graduating in 2025. She has been a junior veterinarian at Modernvet Animal Hospital since January 2026. Born in Salatiga, Central Java, drh. Lael grew up with a deep love for animals, keeping dogs, cats, birds, fish, and rabbits. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, traveling, and learning new languages.
