drh. Michelle Virginia Ongko

Born and raised in Jakarta, drh. Michelle pursued veterinary medicine across several fields during her university years, completing internships at a zoo, a livestock conservation institution, a quarantine service, and small animal clinics. She ultimately decided to focus on small animal practice, where she now has a special interest in anesthesia and pediatrics, particularly puppies. She actively develops her skills through ongoing training, including anesthesia seminars, a Reproductive Ultrasound workshop, and a Dog Handling and Restraint for Vets workshop at Modernvet Animal Hospitals. This focus on anesthesia and pediatrics allows drh. Michelle to manage young and vulnerable patients with particular care, giving pet owners confidence that their companion is receiving safe, age-appropriate treatment. drh. Michelle completed her undergraduate and professional veterinary degrees at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), graduating in 2022. She joined Modernvet Animal Hospitals immediately after earning her veterinary degree and has been developing her clinical expertise there since. In her free time, drh. Michelle loves taking care of her pets and hopes to continue growing as a clinician so she can offer pet owners the best possible care for their companions.
