I was born in Medan and grew up in several cities, always surrounded by beloved animals—from Blacky (my first dog) to Adek (the orange cat who now brings joy to my daily life). Since beginning my practice in 2021, I’ve had a special interest in small animal dermatology, especially because many of the patients I handle present with skin and coat issues. This inspired me to explore how skin health impacts animal welfare and their bond with owners.

To deepen my expertise, I actively participate in dermatology trainings both nationally through the Academy of Veterinary Dermatology Indonesia (AVDI) and internationally through the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) and have been invited to speak at online veterinary seminars. Outside clinical practice, I share educational content through my social media platform @drh.shahnaz. In the future, I hope to become part of the Asian College of Veterinary Dermatology (AiCVD) as a reflection of my commitment to delivering high-quality and sustainable dermatologic care.
