drh. Shahnaz Rayza Lubis

Growing up surrounded by animals in several cities across Indonesia, drh. Shahnaz developed a deep bond with her pets, from Blacky, her first dog, to Adek, the orange cat who brightens her daily life today. Since beginning her practice in 2021, drh. Shahnaz has developed a special interest in small animal dermatology, drawn in by the high number of patients presenting with skin and coat issues. To deepen her expertise, she has completed advanced dermatology training nationally through the Academy of Veterinary Dermatology Indonesia (AVDI) and internationally through the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) programme, and has been invited to speak at online veterinary seminars. She aspires to become part of the Asian College of Veterinary Dermatology (AiCVD), reflecting her commitment to delivering high quality and sustainable dermatological care. This thorough grounding in dermatology helps drh. Shahnaz identify and treat skin conditions accurately, giving pet parents confidence in the diagnosis and long term management of their companion's skin health. drh. Shahnaz completed her undergraduate and professional veterinary degrees at Universitas Syiah Kuala in Banda Aceh, graduating in 2021. She then practiced at clinics in Banda Aceh and Jakarta before joining Modernvet Animal Hospitals. Born in Medan and raised across several cities, drh. Shahnaz shares educational content with pet parents through her social media platform @drh.shahnaz.
